Host questions
How much does CoRent charge hosts?
You keep 95% of the rent. CoRent's fee is a flat 5% of rent collected. There is no booking fee and no management fee — you run your houses in the app.
See every fee on one pageWho pays the card and bank processing fees?
The renter pays the processing fee on each payment, and sees it at checkout before paying. When a renter pays a full month by bank account, their fee is waived and you cover the bank cost (0.8%, up to $5 per room per month).
How does ID verification work?
Every renter verifies their ID once with a government ID and a selfie match before they can apply. You review each application in the app and decide who to approve.
Can my tenants split the utilities?
Yes. Turn on shared utilities for a house and each tenant pays their share of electricity, water, gas and internet in the CoRent app, on top of rent.
My rooms are already listed somewhere else. Can I move them?
Yes. Our team imports your listings for you.
When can a new tenant move in?
Renters pick a move-in date when they search and apply. You review the application and confirm the booking; the renter gets the street address after the booking is confirmed.

How does ID verification work?
Create a free account and verify your ID once with a government ID and a selfie match. Then you can apply to any room in the app — you don't verify again for each application.
Are my housemates verified too?
Yes. Everyone who rents a room on CoRent verifies their ID before they can apply.
What fees do I pay?
Signing up is free and there is no application fee. Each rent payment has a processing fee — card payments cost more than bank payments — and the exact fee is shown at checkout before you pay. Pay a full month by bank account and the fee is waived.
See every fee on one pageHow are utilities split?
It depends on the house. Some hosts include utilities in rent; others split them between housemates and you pay your share in the app. Ask the host which applies to the room.
When can I move in, and when do I get the address?
Pick your move-in date when you search and apply. The host reviews your application and confirms the booking. Listings show the area only; the street address is shared after your booking is confirmed.
