Furnished the rooms and upgraded the common areas? Let tenants share the utilities.

Turn on shared utilities for a house and each tenant pays their share of electricity, water, gas and internet in the CoRent app, on top of rent. Your utility bill stops coming out of your income.

Host questions

How much does CoRent charge hosts?

You keep 95% of the rent. CoRent's fee is a flat 5% of rent collected. There is no booking fee and no management fee — you run your houses in the app.

See every fee on one page
Who pays the card and bank processing fees?

The renter pays the processing fee on each payment, and sees it at checkout before paying. When a renter pays a full month by bank account, their fee is waived and you cover the bank cost (0.8%, up to $5 per room per month).

How does ID verification work?

Every renter verifies their ID once with a government ID and a selfie match before they can apply. You review each application in the app and decide who to approve.

Can my tenants split the utilities?

Yes. Turn on shared utilities for a house and each tenant pays their share of electricity, water, gas and internet in the CoRent app, on top of rent.

My rooms are already listed somewhere else. Can I move them?

Yes. Our team imports your listings for you.

When can a new tenant move in?

Renters pick a move-in date when they search and apply. You review the application and confirm the booking; the renter gets the street address after the booking is confirmed.

How do I reach support?

We answer messages in the app. You can also email support@corent.ai.

What hosts and renters say

“I've run shared homes in Richmond for years, and I got tired of handing over a cut of every rent payment plus a booking fee on every new tenant. So I built CoRent. Hosts keep 95% of the rent, there's no booking fee, and I run my houses, tenants and payments in one app.”
